Collumnae Report Spring 2010
Smarty Pants
Zeta Etas are increasingly showing their prowess in the scholastic arena at Texas State. Spring, 2009, 17 chapter women made a 3.5 GPA minimum honoring themselves and the chapter on the Dean’s List for Texas State. Casey Allen and Carol Aldridge shuttled food prepared by our alums and served the women dinner held at the lovely home of Beth Beach in New Braunfels on October 6th. Beth Beach had special Halloween surprises for each of the women.
Sweet Home Delta Gamma
November 3rd turned out to be a most exciting evening for the Zeta Eta chapter of Delta Gamma. A surprise reveal took place at their new house after the success of the closing was announced at chapter meeting. The women caravanned over to their new property and a celebration took place. The chapter members were crying, hugging, and shrieking with joy and excitement as they toured their new home.
New Members Initiated
38 new members were initiated into the ZH chapter on November 13th. The San Antonio alumnae chapter once again lovingly made (thank you Jennifer and Robbi!) personalized individual cards for each new initiate and cream colored roses with bronze, pink and blue ribbons were presented during the ceremony with each card. Jennifer Denton and Carol Aldridge represented the alumnae chapter at the event.
Seniors and Pizza!
For the first time, the San Antonio Alumnae orchestrated a Senior Bridge Ritual ceremony for December graduating seniors at Zeta Eta on December 6th at their new house in San Marcos. Seven senior women were honored and presented cream colored roses with bronze, pink and blue ribbons. Attending alums participated in this meaningful event.
Immediately following the ceremony, pizza was served to the chapter in a pre-final party. Special treats were made and served by Susan Damos, Cathy Spector, Lani Martinez, Adrienne Ari, Robbi Perry, Casey Allen, and Carol Aldridge. Jennifer Denton also sent brownies for the party.
A gift exchange rounded out the evening with big and little sisters.
