Though San Antonio does not have a local collegiate chapter
here in the city, we do support many of the Region 6
chapters close to us. We are involved in a more "hands-on"
way with the Zeta Eta Chapter at Texas State University in
San Marcos. Zeta Eta is a growing chapter and we enjoy
seeing them each year at Founders Day and other events.
San Antonio alums also support Zeta Eta through House
Corporation involvement, serving as advisors, assisting with
initiations and senior bridge, and providing snacks during
exam week in December. Congrats to San Antonio alumna
Robbi Perry for being awarded
Outstanding House
Corporation President
for Region 6 at Convention 2010!!!

We also cherish our "Aunt Hannah" program, which supports
all of our local San Antonio DG women at colleges and
universities in Texas and around the country. (see below)

Each year in December, we honor our local legacies, San
Antonio collegians and their mothers at an elegant Holiday
Tea. Typically held just as our collegians are returning home
for Christmas break, we gather at the home of one of our
alumnae to celebrate the season and to welcome our
legacies, collegians and their mothers. This annual event
has become a cherished tradition for our Alamo City Delta
Gammas. Check our calendar page for information on when
and where the tea will be held this year.

We love our collegians in San Antonio!!!
Collumnae Involvement
Aunt Hannah Program

Our Aunt Hannah program is unique in Texas, providing a
wonderful opportunity for alums and collegians to connect and
foster lifelong membership in Delta Gamma. Each San Antonio
collegian is paired with an "Aunt Hannah" from our alumnae
chapter who will mentor her throughout her college days by
sending her cards or gifts and giving her encouragement. We
know that the impression we, as alums, make on our new
member probably will have a profound influence on their alum
participation in the future. Aunt Hannahs are enouraged to share
their history in Delta Gamma and in their own lives in an effort to
create these important relationships. Aunt Hannahs have an
opportunity to meet their "nieces" and their mothers at our
annual holiday tea.
