The Weston Wright – Lighting the Way 5K Walk/Run

Location: Mission County Park I

The first annual Weston Wright “Lighting the Way” 5K Walk/Run will benefit the SA Lighthouse for the Blind School to Work Transition Program. The program which prepares students ages 16 to 21 for the world of work by offering vocational and technology training, career guidance and basic life skills education for local high school students with blindness, visual impairment and/or other disabilities.

The USBGA 64^th National Championship and “Fore the Blind” Charity Scramble will benefit the SA Lighthouse for the Blind rehabilitation, vocational training, job placement, and seniors programs for the blind and severely visually impaired.

See the new home of Prevent Blindness housed in the extraordinary new campus for the homeless, Haven for Hope. We’ll hear from Delta Gamma Libby Bentley, Executive Director of Prevent Blindness followed by light refreshments and a tour of this amazing facility.
